Detailed itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kigali → City Tour → Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where you’ll be welcomed by your driver-guide. Begin with a short Kigali city tour, visiting highlights such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and craft centers for a glimpse into Rwanda’s history, culture, and daily life.

After the tour, enjoy lunch and then drive through Rwanda’s scenic “Land of a Thousand Hills,” passing rolling countryside, terraced farms, and rural villages before crossing the border into Uganda and continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, check in, and relax ahead of your gorilla trekking adventure. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Day 2 : Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing. Trek through the dense rainforest to locate a gorilla family, spotting monkeys, birds, and unique plants along the way. Spend one hour with the gorillas, observing them feed, play, and interact. Return to the lodge for lunch and optional afternoon activities like a Batwa cultural visit, village walk, or birding. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 3 : Transfer to Kigali → Fly to Nairobi

After breakfast, drive back to kigali stopping for scenic views and lunch along the way. Catch your flight to Nairobi, Kenya, and transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 : Nairobi → Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara by road or flight. Arrive at your safari lodge or camp and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive, spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 5 : Full Day Game Drives in Masai Mara
