Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Your 14days Uganda culture and wildlife tour begins as you arrive at Entebbe International Airport. A warm welcome awaits from your professional safari guide, who will transfer you to your lakeside hotel. Settle in and enjoy the tropical atmosphere, with views over Lake Victoria. If time permits, you can take an optional visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or Uganda Wildlife Education Centre.

Day 2: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Transfer to Murchison Falls

After an early breakfast, drive northwards through scenic countryside towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos. Embark on a thrilling rhino tracking walk with a ranger, getting you close to these massive animals on foot. After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, home to Uganda’s largest population of big game. Arrive at your lodge overlooking the savannah or Nile River.

Day 3: Game Drive & Nile River Boat Safari

Begin your day with a sunrise game drive across the northern plains of Murchison Falls. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species. The open savannah makes wildlife viewing spectacular here.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari up the Nile River towards the bottom of the falls. Along the banks, you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife, including the colorful kingfishers and bee-eaters. The dramatic sight of the powerful falls crashing through a narrow gorge marks the highlight of the cruise.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Budongo Forest & Transfer to Kibale

Today, venture into Budongo Forest Reserve for your first primate adventure — chimpanzee trekking! Hike through tall mahogany trees as your guide helps you track the lively chimps by their calls. Once you find them, spend a magical hour observing their playful antics and social behavior.

After lunch, set off on a scenic drive southwards towards Kibale Forest, passing through tea plantations and rural villages. Arrive at your lodge nestled in the jungle, ready for more primate encounters.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale & Bigodi Wetland Walk

Another day, another primate adventure! After breakfast, head into Kibale National Park, the primate capital of East Africa. Trek through the rainforest in search of your chimpanzee family, encountering other monkeys like red colobus, blue monkeys, and mangabeys along the way.

In the afternoon, take a guided walk at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run reserve teeming with birdlife, butterflies, and primates. The swamp walk also offers a glimpse into rural Ugandan life as you pass through nearby villages.

Day 6: Crater Lakes Exploration & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

This morning, explore the picturesque Ndali-Kasenda Crater Lakes region, a cluster of volcanic lakes surrounded by lush hills. Enjoy scenic walks with panoramic views and visit local farms producing vanilla and coffee.

Later, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most diverse ecosystems. As you enter the park, enjoy a short game drive spotting antelopes and warthogs. Your lodge offers views of the park’s savannah plains or crater lakes.

Day 7: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Start with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, a hotspot for lions hunting Uganda kob antelopes. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, and leopards if you’re lucky.

In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, which links Lake Edward and Lake George. The banks are a gathering place for large pods of hippos, herds of elephants, buffalo, and an astonishing array of waterbirds, making this one of Africa’s top birding sites.

Day 8: Ishasha Tree-Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi

Travel to the remote Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth Park, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions that lounge on fig tree branches. A game drive here offers the chance to spot these unique predators, along with topis, buffalo, and elephants.

After lunch, continue south to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorillas. Arrive at your luxury lodge perched at the forest edge, with sweeping views of the jungle canopy.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today is the pinnacle of your safari — gorilla trekking! After a briefing by park rangers, hike into the dense rainforest to locate a habituated gorilla family. The trek can be challenging, but the reward is an hour spent in the company of these gentle giants, observing their social bonds and silverback dominance.

Return to the lodge for a late lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure, soaking in the incredible experience. Optional: indulge in a massage at the lodge spa to relax after your trek.

Day 10: Waterfalls Nature Walk or Second Gorilla Trek & Batwa Visit

This day offers options:

• For adventurers, opt for a second gorilla trek (permit required) to visit a different gorilla family.

• Or, enjoy a guided nature walk through the forest trails leading to hidden waterfalls, spotting birds, monkeys, and colorful butterflies along the way.

In the afternoon, visit a Batwa pygmy community, where you’ll experience their vibrant songs, dances, and ancient forest survival skills. This cultural visit helps support Batwa livelihoods and preserves their heritage.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, drive to scenic Lake Bunyonyi, often called the “Switzerland of Africa” for its terraced hills and 29 emerald islands. Arrive at your lakeside lodge and spend the afternoon relaxing — take a dip in the safe bilharzia-free waters or go for a canoe ride around the islands.

Enjoy a peaceful evening with sunset views over the lake and a cozy fireplace at your lodge.

Day 12: Cultural Encounters & Scenic Exploration

Spend the day exploring Lake Bunyonyi’s surroundings. Visit local Bakiga communities to learn about traditional farming and crafts. Canoe to islands rich with history, such as Punishment Island and Kyahugye Island with zebras and impalas.

Optional activities include birdwatching walks, zip-lining over the lake, or a short hike up the hills for panoramic views. This relaxed day offers cultural immersion and scenic beauty in equal measure.

Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & Evening Game Drive

Leave Bunyonyi and drive to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but a gem for wildlife viewing. Arrive in time for a sunset game drive, where you can spot zebras, elands, impalas, topis, and hippos.

Your lodge offers views over the rolling savannah and acacia woodlands, with wildlife often visiting the lodge grounds.

Day 14: End Of Your 14days Uganda culture and wildlife

Start your morning with a guided walking safari — a rare chance to explore the African bush on foot, accompanied by a ranger. Look out for giraffes, antelopes, and learn about plants and tracks.

After brunch, begin your journey back to Entebbe, crossing the equator for a memorable photo stop. You’ll be transferred to Entebbe International Airport in time for your evening departure flight, marking the end of your incredible Ugandan adventure.
