Detailed Itinerary of 5-day Bwindi Gorillas & Nairobi Safari

Day 1 : Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Upon arrival in Kigali or Entebbe, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and begin your scenic transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through rolling hills, terraced farmlands, tea plantations, and traditional villages, offering beautiful views of Uganda’s countryside.

Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, check in, and relax as you prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure. Enjoy dinner and the peaceful forest atmosphere.

Day 2 : Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for registration and a pre-trek briefing from experienced rangers. You will be assigned a gorilla family and begin your guided trek through the dense rainforest.

The trek can last between 2–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Along the way, look out for birds, monkeys, and unique forest plants. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one magical hour observing them up close — watching the young ones play, mothers nurture their babies, and the powerful silverback guard the group. It’s a rare and deeply moving wildlife encounter.

Return to the lodge to relax. Optional activities include a Batwa cultural visit or a community walk.

Day 3 : Transfer to Kigali/Entebbe → Fly to Nairobi

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive back to Kigali or Entebbe through scenic countryside. Arrive in time for your scheduled flight to Nairobi.

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure relaxing or exploring nearby restaurants.

Day 4 : Nairobi National Park & Giraffe Centre

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Nairobi National Park, the only national park located within a capital city. Despite its urban setting, the park is home to lions, rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and many bird species, offering excellent wildlife viewing with the Nairobi skyline in the background.

Later, visit the Giraffe Centre, where you can meet and feed the endangered Rothschild giraffes from an elevated platform while learning about conservation efforts.

Return to the hotel in the afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or optional shopping and city tours.

Day 5 : Nairobi City Tour & Departure
