Detailed Itinerary For

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport on your 6 Days Gorilla Golden Monkeys ,you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide. After airport formalities, you’ll begin a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of Uganda’s most iconic destinations.

The journey takes you through the beautiful Ugandan countryside, passing rolling hills, lush tea and banana plantations, small rural villages, and local markets. Along the way, your guide will provide fascinating insights into the culture, history, and wildlife of Uganda.

You will stop for refreshments and lunch en route, enjoying local delicacies while soaking in the picturesque views. Continue the drive into the heart of southwestern Uganda, where the dense rainforest of Bwindi awaits.

Upon arrival at your lodge near Bwindi, check in and relax. Depending on your arrival time, you may have a short nature walk around the lodge, taking in the fresh forest air and spotting birds or monkeys nearby.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early breakfast at your lodge, you will head to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Headquarters to begin your gorilla trekking adventure. Here, you will receive a briefing from the park rangers on safety rules, trekking guidelines, and how to interact respectfully with the gorillas.

The trek begins through dense rainforest trails, surrounded by towering trees, ferns, and vines. Following the cultural experience, enjoy a guided nature walk around Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After an early breakfast, depart from Bwindi and drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, located in southwestern Uganda near the Virunga Volcanoes. The drive offers breathtaking views of rolling hills, volcanic landscapes, and rural villages, giving you a glimpse into Uganda’s diverse scenery.

Upon arrival at the park headquarters, you will receive a briefing from the rangers about the golden monkey trekking experience, including safety instructions and tips for observing these playful primates.

Set out on a guided trek through bamboo forests and lush trails in search of golden monkeys. These colorful primates are known for their energetic movements and curious nature. Spend time observing, photographing, and enjoying the monkeys’ playful interactions in their natural habitat. The trek usually lasts 2–4 hours, depending on the location of the monkeys.

After the trek, enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by spectacular views of the Virunga Volcanoes. Later, transfer to your lodge nearby for check-in and relaxation. Take the evening to enjoy the serene surroundings, capture sunset photos, or unwind before dinner.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi & Relaxation

After breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi, embark on a scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi, often called the “Switzerland of Africa.” The journey passes through rolling hills, terraced farmland, and local villages, offering plenty of photo opportunities.

Upon arrival at your lodge on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, check in and relax. Spend the afternoon exploring the lake by canoe or boat, enjoying views of the 29 islands, lush hills, and traditional villages. This is a great opportunity to spot birds, admire the calm waters, and soak in the serene environment.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at the lodge, reflecting on the day’s scenic journey.

Day 6: Transfer to Entebbe & Departure

After an early breakfast at your lodge on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, begin your scenic drive back to Entebbe, passing through rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages. Enjoy the last glimpses of Uganda’s beautiful landscapes as your guide points out local landmarks, cultural highlights, and wildlife along the way.

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have a brief stop for photos or refreshments at a local town or viewpoint. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport in time for your departure flight.
