Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to Maasai Mara
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, or after pickup from your Nairobi hotel, meet your driver-guide and embark on a scenic drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve through the stunning Great Rift Valley. Stop at a panoramic viewpoint to capture the dramatic escarpments and rolling landscapes before continuing to the world-famous Mara, part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and home to the Big Five and the Great Wildebeest Migration. Arrive at your lodge or tented camp for lunch, then enjoy an introductory afternoon game drive across the open savannah, spotting elephants, zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari & Migration Viewing

Day 5: Fly to Kigali/Entebbe → Transfer to Bwindi
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Kigali (Rwanda) or Entebbe (Uganda). On arrival, meet your driver-guide and embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy the lush rolling hills, tea plantations, terraced farmlands, and vibrant local villages along the way. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon or evening, check in, and unwind in the peaceful forest surroundings, preparing for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
After an early breakfast, transfer to Bwindi park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla behavior, safety, and trekking guidelines. Set out on your guided trek into the lush rainforest, which can take 2–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Along the way, enjoy the dense forest scenery, spotting monkeys, exotic birds, and unique plant life.
Once you reach the gorillas, spend an unforgettable hour observing them up close — from playful infants to protective silverbacks. After the trek, return to your lodge to relax, or optionally visit a Batwa community or take a nature walk in the afternoon.
