Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe International airport – Relax Sunset Shoebill watching on Lake Victoria

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport for your 10 Days Uganda Classic Safari, you’ll be warmly greeted by your guide, who will drive you to your hotel for check-in and a comfortable stay and relax after a long flight as you begin to feel Uganda

If time permits, you’ll begin your Uganda adventure with an unforgettable shoebill watching experience. In the late afternoon, we’ll head to Mabamba Wetlands, known for its thriving birdlife, including the elusive shoebill stork. On a guided boat tour through the tranquil marshes, you’ll have the rare opportunity to spot these fascinating birds in their natural habitat.

After the shoebill adventure, we’ll enjoy a sunset cruise on Lake Victoria, where you can unwind and take in the spectacular views as the sun sets over Africa’s largest lake. This is the perfect way to relax and appreciate the beauty of Uganda as you ease into your holiday.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park with Rhino Tracking

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park, traveling through Uganda’s lush countryside. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to experience the thrill of tracking rhinos on foot. Guided by experienced rangers, you’ll witness these magnificent creatures up close as they roam freely within this protected sanctuary.

Continuing on, you’ll arrive at Murchison Falls, where the Nile River dramatically surges through a narrow gorge and plummets 45 meters into a foamy pool below—a breathtaking sight that captures the raw power of nature. You’ll have the chance to visit the top of the falls for panoramic views before heading to your lodge for dinner and a restful night.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Safari on the Nile

Begin the day with an exhilarating morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, where vast savannahs teem with diverse wildlife. Guided by an expert, you’ll have the opportunity to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalo, and Uganda kobs. The landscapes, dotted with acacias and rolling plains, offer a stunning backdrop for wildlife photography and unforgettable memories.

After lunch, you’ll embark on a boat safari along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. The river is alive with hippos, Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, and a dazzling variety of birds, including the striking African fish eagle. Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

The scenic drive meanders through rolling hills, tea plantations, and vibrant local villages, offering glimpses into the region’s rich culture. Arrive in the late afternoon in the lush environment of Kibale, where you can unwind at your lodge and prepare for tomorrow’s encounter with Uganda’s famous chimpanzees.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Start your day with the exhilarating chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest. Accompanied by an expert ranger, you’ll trek through the forest in search of Uganda’s famous chimpanzees. Once you find them, you’ll spend an hour observing their social behavior, playfulness, and impressive agility. It’s a thrilling experience to see these intelligent creatures in their natural environment.

After your chimpanzee trek, we’ll head to Queen Elizabeth National Park for the afternoon, with a scenic drive that takes you through the beautiful Ugandan countryside. Today is the pinnacle of your safari journey: gorilla trekking in the enchanting Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After a briefing at the park headquarters, you’ll set off into the misty forest, guided by experienced trackers and rangers to locate one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can be physically demanding, but the reward is incomparable—spending time with these magnificent creatures as they go about their daily activities in their natural habitat. Whether observing their social interactions or simply watching them feed or play, this rare experience will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact.

After the trek, you’ll transfer to the picturesque Lake Bunyonyi, known for its stunning views and tranquil setting. Upon arrival, relax at your lodge, reflect on your incredible encounter with the gorillas, and unwind as you take in the serene beauty of this remarkable area.

Day 8: Relaxation and Exploration at Lake Bunyonyi

After the intensity of the gorilla trekking experience, today is all about unwinding and enjoying the serene beauty of Lake Bunyonyi. You have the option to relax by the lake, take in the breathtaking scenery, and soak up the tranquility. For those looking for a bit of adventure, take a leisurely island tour to explore the hidden gems of this idyllic lake. Visit some of its 29 islands, each with its own unique charm and history. Alternatively, enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear waters—Lake Bunyonyi is one of the safest lakes for swimming, offering a refreshing and peaceful experience.

As the day unfolds, you’ll have plenty of time to reflect on your journey, take in the natural beauty surrounding you, and relax in the comfort of your lodge. The calm and peaceful environment of Lake Bunyonyi offers the perfect setting to recharge before your next adventure.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Evening Safari

After a relaxing morning at Lake Bunyonyi, today you’ll begin your journey to Lake Mburo National Park, a scenic drive that offers glimpses of Uganda’s beautiful countryside. As you approach the park, you’ll notice the change in landscape—from the rolling hills to the vast savannah dotted with acacia trees and waterholes. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a thrilling evening safari to explore the park’s diverse wildlife.

Lake Mburo is home to a variety of animals, including zebras, impalas, buffalos, and the elusive leopard. The evening light sets the perfect mood for wildlife viewing, and the beautiful African sunset adds a magical touch to the experience.

After the safari, you’ll return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Day 10: Morning Walking Safari and Departure to Entebbe

On your final day of 10 Days Uganda Classic Safari, you will start early with a morning walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. Accompanied by a skilled ranger, you’ll explore the park on foot, getting a unique perspective of the wildlife and the stunning landscape. It’s a thrilling experience, allowing you to get closer to nature as you walk past herds of zebra, impala, and other wildlife, all while learning about the ecosystem from your guide.

There is an optional alternative of a horse ride safari.

After the walk, you’ll have breakfast before embarking on the drive back to Entebbe. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours, giving you a chance to reflect on your incredible adventure through Uganda’s wildlife and natural wonders. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your African safari.
