Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe — Welcome to Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport on your 15 Days Uganda Adventure Expedition, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your comfortable hotel by Lake Victoria. Settle in and recover from your journey while enjoying serene views and bird calls around the gardens. Depending on your arrival time, you can take an optional sunset boat cruise on Lake Victoria or visit the nearby Entebbe Botanical Gardens for your first taste of Uganda’s birdlife and flora.

Day 2: Mabamba Swamp Shoebill Excursion & Drive to Jinja
After breakfast, set off on a canoe excursion through Mabamba Swamp — the best place to photograph the prehistoric-looking Shoebill Stork. Glide quietly among papyrus channels as you spot other wetland birds like kingfishers, jacanas, and herons.
By late morning, you’ll hit the road eastward, passing colorful roadside markets and lush landscapes on your way to Jinja — the adventure capital of East Africa. Arrive by evening and check in at a lodge overlooking the Nile River.
Day 3: White Water Rafting on the Nile
Today’s highlight is a thrilling white-water rafting adventure on the world-famous rapids of the Nile! With expert guides and safety gear, tackle Grade 3 to Grade 5 rapids — expect adrenaline-pumping drops, splashes, and lots of laughter. For less adventurous travelers, there’s an option for a milder river float.
After rafting, enjoy a riverside lunch and relax at the lodge. In the evening, take an optional sunset cruise on the Nile, or explore Jinja’s craft shops and historical landmarks.
Day 4: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Rhino Trekking
Depart Jinja after breakfast and drive north through scenic farmlands and small towns toward Nakasongola district. In the afternoon, arrive at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary — home to Uganda’s only wild rhinos.
Go on foot with a ranger to track these powerful but peaceful giants in the savannah bushland. Along the way, you might also spot antelopes, waterbucks, and abundant birdlife. Spend the night at a comfortable lodge near the sanctuary.
Day 5: Murchison Falls National Park — Top of the Falls
After breakfast, continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest protected area. Enter through the southern gate and drive to the famous Top of the Falls, where the mighty Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gorge with incredible force.
Feel the spray and thunderous roar as you photograph this dramatic natural spectacle. Later, proceed to your lodge overlooking the Nile for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Game Drive & Nile Boat Safari
Begin with an early morning game drive across the Buligi and Delta tracks. Here, you’ll spot lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and many antelope species roaming the savannah. Keep your camera ready — this is prime wildlife country!
In the afternoon, take a boat safari upstream to the base of Murchison Falls. Watch hippos, crocodiles, and elephants along the riverbanks, and capture images of vibrant birds like African fish eagles and kingfishers.
Day 7: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Today is a scenic drive south to Kibale Forest, famous for its chimpanzees and beautiful rainforest. Pass through tea plantations, traditional villages, and the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains along the way.
Arrive in the afternoon and check in at a forest lodge nestled amid greenery. Enjoy the cool, fresh air and sounds of the jungle as you prepare for tomorrow’s primate trekking adventure.
Day 8: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk
After an early breakfast, head into Kibale Forest with experienced trackers to search for wild chimpanzees. As you trek through the rainforest, you’ll also encounter red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and a variety of birds and butterflies.
In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run eco-tourism site. Walk along boardwalks through papyrus swamps and forest patches, spotting colorful birds and primates while supporting local conservation efforts.
Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park — Crater Lakes Drive
After breakfast, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a diverse wildlife haven with open savannah, crater lakes, and wetlands. En route, stop at scenic Ndali-Kasenda crater lakes — perfect for landscape photography.

Day 10: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
Start with a dawn game drive in the Kasenyi plains, prime lion territory where you can also spot hyenas, leopards, elephants, and large herds of Uganda kob. The early morning light offers beautiful photographic opportunities.
In the afternoon, cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a wildlife-packed waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. You’ll see hundreds of hippos, crocodiles, elephants coming to drink, and a dazzling array of waterbirds like African skimmers and pelicans.
Day 11: Ishasha Sector — Tree-Climbing Lions
Head south to the remote Ishasha Sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions that lounge in giant fig trees. Go on a game drive in search of these unique predators and other wildlife like topis, buffaloes, and elephants.

Day 12: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest — Home of Gorillas

Day 13: Gorilla Trekking Adventure
Today is the pinnacle of your adventure! After a briefing, enter Bwindi’s dense forest to track a family of mountain gorillas. The trek can be challenging, but the reward is unforgettable — an hour spent observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

Day 14: Lake Bunyonyi Canoe Excursion & Relaxation
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, often called the “Switzerland of Africa” due to its misty hills and 29 islands. Here, you can enjoy a relaxing canoe ride among the islands, visit local communities, and learn about the legends of this beautiful lake.
Spend the afternoon at leisure — swimming (safe from bilharzia), birdwatching, or simply soaking in the serene views. Your lodge offers the perfect setting for rest after your intense gorilla adventure.
Day 15: End Of Your 15 Days Uganda Adventure Expedition
After a relaxed morning, begin your drive back to Entebbe through rolling countryside and bustling towns. Stop en route at the Equator line for photos and souvenirs.
Arrive in Entebbe by late afternoon, where you can freshen up before your evening international flight home.
