Day 1: Fly from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

In the morning on your 4 Days Fly-in Safari, you’ll take a domestic flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro or Kihihi Airstrip. The flight offers stunning aerial views of Uganda’s rolling hills, lakes, and forests. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your luxury lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After check-in, enjoy a delicious lunch and relax with stunning views of the forested hills. In the evening, you’ll have a briefing about the upcoming gorilla trek. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing by park rangers. From here, your group will be assigned to one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek takes you deep into the misty forest, where you will have the chance to see the mountain gorillas up close in their natural habitat. Expect a magical hour spent observing them as they feed, interact, and play in the wild. The trek can range from a short walk to a more strenuous hike depending on where the gorillas are located. After your trek, return to your lodge for a relaxing afternoon and evening, with the option to indulge in a spa treatment or enjoy a nature walk around the area.

Day 3: Cultural Experience & Leisure in Bwindi

After the exhilarating gorilla trekking experience, take the day to relax and immerse yourself in the local culture. You can visit the nearby Batwa pygmy communities, an indigenous group that once lived in the forest before it became a national park. During the visit, you’ll learn about their traditional lifestyle, hunting practices, and spiritual beliefs. The Batwa experience typically includes traditional dances, storytelling, and a demonstration of their skills in fire-making. In the afternoon, you’ll return to your lodge for a leisurely afternoon by the campfire or a boat ride on the Lake Bunyonyi, located nearby, known for its stunning beauty and tranquility.

Day 4: End Of 4 Days Fly-in Safari

On your final day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast before being transferred back to the airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. The scenic flight gives you one last opportunity to soak in the landscapes of Uganda as you make your way back to the capital.
