After an exhilarating trek through the dense forest, unwind at the serene Lake Mutanda, where you can relax and absorb the peaceful surroundings. The adventure continues with a golden monkey trek in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, where you’ll witness the playful and vibrant golden monkeys in their natural habitat. This tour is perfect for those seeking a mix of wildlife discovery, cultural immersion, and relaxation in two of East Africa’s most iconic destinations.

Gorilla Trekking is one of the most exhilarating wildlife experiences in the world. In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Volcanoes National Park, you’ll have the rare opportunity to trek through dense forests, guided by experienced rangers, in search of the magnificent mountain gorillas. Once you encounter a habituated gorilla family, you’ll be granted one hour to observe them in their natural habitat. Watching them interact, feed, and care for their young is a humbling and awe-inspiring experience. The trek can range from a few hours to a full day, depending on the location of the gorillas, but the reward of coming face-to-face with these incredible creatures is worth every step.

Golden Monkey Trekking, while less intense than gorilla trekking, offers an equally captivating encounter. Found in Volcanoes National Park, golden monkeys are known for their vibrant orange fur and lively personalities. During the trek, you’ll explore the park’s bamboo forests, where these playful primates are often seen leaping through the trees or feeding on bamboo shoots. Golden monkeys are social creatures, and their curiosity makes for an engaging experience as they interact with one another and visitors. The trek is generally shorter than the gorilla trek, making it an ideal way to complement your safari with another unique primate experience.
